What is the UK Global Health Case Competition?
This innovative competition will rally grad and undergrad students from various colleges to form interdisciplinary teams that will develop strategies to address a critical global health challenge. This year, teams will serve as consultants to the President of Honduras, with the goal of reducing gun violence in the country. Honduras has been declared the most violent country in the world due to a devastatingly high murder rate.
Students will present to a panel of judges on Saturday, January 21, 2017 and the top team will be chosen to advance to the 2017 International Emory Global Health Case Competition held March 23-25, 2017 at Emory University. UK's team will compete against 23 other universities, and the first place team will win $6000.
How many students can participate?
Teams will be made up of 4-6 students, each team representing a minimum of 3 colleges. The maximum amount of teams will be 18. The teams will be randomly assigned.
