Why should I join pre-pharmacy club?
You should join the pre-pharmacy club at UK because we will teach you about the field of pharmacy and prepare you for applying and becoming a pharmacy student. You will be provided with exclusive volunteer opportunities (if you become a paid member) and will hear from a wide range of pharmacists at the general meetings. The club will also help you prepare for your application to pharmacy school by hosting mock interviews and providing more in depth lectures about the application process in general. The pre-pharmacy club will also allow you to network with other pre-pharmacy students and University of Kentucky faculty.
What is a PY1 mentor?
A PY1 mentor is a first year pharmacy student. A mentor will be assigned to a paid club member. The mentor's purpose is to guide you through the application process and answer any questions about being a pharmacy student. PY1s were once undergraduates too so they can also give advice about that!
